Who it's for

Most people who book a debrief are at one of three stages:

Thinking about starting

You're considering starting a business. Whether or not your profile is strongly entrepreneurial, you want to know how to approach it given your natural strengths and gaps.

Getting started

You're in the early stages of building a business. Before you commit more time and money, you want advice on your path and direction, and to identify the gaps worth filling now.

Already in business

You own a business that's struggling to grow or succeed. Your profile can help explain why, and you want to know how to work around or fix the issues.

What a session looks like

  1. 1

    Before we meet

Mike reviews your report ahead of time.

  2. 2

    We start with your story

Every call begins with you sharing your business ideas, plans and where things stand, plus the context that matters, such as family life, business experience, your craft, or whether you're planning to leave your job.

  3. 3

    Your profile

Together, we walk through your results and answer any questions about them.

  4. 4

    The path forward

We spend the remaining time on your questions about entrepreneurship, your situation and the next steps.

How it works

One hour, by video call

For many people, one session is enough to get them where they need to go. Some choose a follow-up session, usually about a month later, and a few continue to meet with Mike monthly or every two months. Many clients continue into ongoing entrepreneurship coaching.

Booking is simple

Once you've paid, you'll receive a link to choose a time that works for you. If none of the available times suit, you'll also receive Mike's email address so you can arrange a time directly.

Common outcomes

It's common for clients to experience a subset of these outcomes.

  • Clarity and calm about where you stand
  • Excitement and momentum, or sharper questions to explore
  • A clear picture of how your profile fits your plans, and how to fill the gaps: a hire, a partner, an advisor, or a change in approach
  • Confidence to commit, adjust or pause before investing more time and money
  • An explanation for what's been hard, and what to change
  • Two or three concrete next steps to act on right away
